Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ を買って⚡アイコンが出て起動不可だったのを解決した

ちっちゃい Linux マシンとして定番の Raspberry Pi を買った。

でも、早速起動しよう！ってやってみたら虹色の正方形と、稲妻のアイコン⚡が出て起動しない。

公式ドキュメントによると⚡は電圧不足のときに出るアイコンらしい。

Undervoltage warning

If the power supply to the Raspberry Pi drops below 4.63V (+/-5%), the following icon is displayed.

しかし、結果的に原因は電圧不足ではなかった。

原因は SD カード内のOSが古かったこと

電源アダプターを変えても直らなかったので、under voltage …などで Google 検索してたら次のフォーラム記事がみつかった

なんと、電圧不足以外にも OS が古いことによってこの画面が出ることがあるらしい。

When it should be booting, does the power led do 4 short flashes followed by 4 long flashes? In my experience, the undervoltage symbol with the rainbow block at that point doesn’t necessarily really mean undervoltage, but can just mean that you’re not running a new enough version of the operating system. It got me first time too.

そこで、自分が購入した一式を思い出す。

• 自分が買ったのは 2018年に出た最新の Pi 3 Model B+
• OSがすでに入った SD カードを購入した

この SD カードに入った OS が古いのかもしれない！と思いついたので、最新の OS を公式からダウンロードして Win32 Disk Imager で書き込んだ。

そうすると無事に起動できた！めでたい🎉
